Frequently Asked Questions

See below for the most commonly-asked Arches National Park Tours questions. Don’t see your question below? Contact us!

Do we need a timed-entry reservation for Arches National Park?

Nope! That’s one of the great things about seeing the park with us. No need to navigate the park’s reservation system or pay any entry fees. We handle all of that for you.

What is your cancellation policy?

No refunds within 48 hours of the reserved tour.

Cancellations made at least 48 hours before the reserved tour are refunded aside from a $10 per rider cancellation fee.

If we cancel the tour due to weather, mechanical issues, or insufficient reservations, your reservations will be refunded in full. We do not cancel tours for wind, light rain, or snow. We recommend you check the weather for the day of your tour and dress appropriately. Layers are a great idea in the desert!

Where is your pick up location?

You’ll depart from Double Down Bike Shop:
255 Williams Way
Moab,  UT 84532

Remember to arrive 15 minutes before your tour is scheduled to depart, and park on the street.

If you are unable to meet at Double Down and would like to request a pickup at your hotel, please contact us.

Do we tip our guide?

Our guides always appreciate a tip for sharing their local knowledge about Arches and the Moab area with you, showing you the best sights in the park, and providing safe transportation.

There are 3 ways to tip:

1. When you book. There is an option to add a tip through our booking platform. We ensure your tip goes to your driver!

On-site:

2. Cash. It’s easy for you and your driver!

3. Venmo. Most of our drivers have a Venmo account you can scan. Don’t see a poster in the van? It’s ok to ask!

Are the tours suitable for everyone?

Our van tours are suitable for most folks, but not everyone.

We accommodate children aged 5-12, accompanied by an adult. Per Utah law, anyone under 8 years of age or 57” of height needs to be in a car seat. If your kiddo(s) fall into this category, please bring your own car seat and arrive an additional 10 minutes early so we can get the car seat set up in our van.

Our tours include walking on some uneven surfaces for distances of up to a mile. You’ll also be getting in and out of the van multiple times throughout the tour. If you’re unsure of your ability to participate, give us a call and we can help you decide if our tour is a good fit for you.

Tours are not wheelchair accessible.

What should I bring on an Arches tour?

– A water bottle (we have a cooler with additional water for refills)

– Snacks. We provide some light munchies in the van, but if you have dietary restrictions or know you get snacky, it’s a good idea to bring your favorite treats!

– Your phone or camera

– Hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate attire

– Good hiking footwear (and poles if you like to use them!)

– A great attitude. You’re about to see Arches National Park
